I went by ferry in my car. I started my journey at midnight on Monday and by the time me and Moira got to The Crock Park Hotel it was 2:30 in the afternoon. It was a 6 hour drive to Holyhead Wales because it was foggy and some of the motorway was only 50 mph and sometimes it was 30 mph. Then when we got to Holyhead port the ferry we were booked on was cancelled, the next ferry was not until 12:00 midday. But, thankfully, because we travelled a long way, we were put on the 9:00 am ferry on Stena Line. I found out, I do not have sea legs. But I still managed to take pictures of the Irish sea on the way to Ireland.
On Wednesday 5th October me and Moira got up around 9:00 am after a showering and getting dressed we had breakfast.
Moira, who is Irish took me to Newbridge to show me the Silverware museum. And I loved it.
On Thursday Moira and I went to a ‘Hello how do you do’ party
Had such a great night,, met other authors, some of them I have read and I was like ‘Oh my God. I read that book’ it was funny. I met readers, and yes some of them have read my short stories. I was like ‘really?’ it was overweleming but really cool at the at same time. After a long day and a great night I went to bed, not before having a snack 😉
On Friday I went on a Viking Tour of Dublin. It was a bus, that also went into the water. I know, but yes it’s true. The bus goes into the water.
On Saturday it was the DAY. The day that I have been looking forward to since the beginning of the year. Book Singing Day. I took 12 books with me and I sold eight. Not bad for my first EVER signing. I was signing my first Novel ‘Riot’s Obsession. Demons Rage Motorcycle Club’ It’s a Raw British MC club.
I’m wearing sunglasses because I was up at 6:00 am that morning and I didn’t get to lay down until 3:30 pm. I had such a bad headache. Because I suffer from CFS and Lymphadema it was a hard day. The good thing about the signing it was across the road from the hotel where I was staying so no waiting around for taxi’s or spending money on taxi’s. As soon as I got back to the hotel, I put my suitcase that I used to carry my books and swag near my bed, changed into my night clothes, told Moira I needed to sleep and she read her book and as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light.
When I woke up, I had a quick shower got changed ready for gala time.
Sunday 9th time to go home. I had a blast, I learnt so much from other authors and readers and bloggers that it showed me I still have some learning and catch up to do. It was a learning curve for me, I learnt what to do and not what to do.
So, now I’m home. Fixing my novel to be realised on kindle ready for the 20th of October.
Here are more pictures of the Irish sea going home, and this time I took my sickness tablets early and I wasn’t ill on the way home. I did however fall asleep for 3 1/4 of an hour. And had a good idea for a novella series that I’m working on and hopefully be realised before Christmas. That’s my goal.
